Spring is here and summer is just around the corner. It’s time to let us give your car, truck, or SUV the once-over to make sure it’s ready for another Ohio summer. Buckeye Complete Auto Care knows what your vehicle needs to run efficiently all summer long, so bring it in and let us check the following five things plus your belts, filters, and hoses.
Your Vehicle’s AC System
There is nothing worse than getting into a vehicle that has been sitting in the summer heat and finding that the air conditioner isn’t working in your car, truck, crossover, or SUV. We’ll inspect your AC system to make sure it’s ready for its summer job. We’ll ensure the refrigerant is okay, the compressor and fan are working properly, and that you don’t have leaks coming from the compressor or hoses.
Your Automobile’s Radiator System
We may not get as hot as it does in the southwest but the combination of summer’s heat and humidity can do a number on your vehicle’s engine, especially if you’re driving in stop-and-go traffic with the air conditioner on. We’ll inspect your radiator system for leaks, test your thermostat and fan, and make certain your coolant is clean and full. If your radiator needs a flush, we’ll do that, too.
Your Car, Truck, or SUV’s Fuel System
Spring is the perfect time for a fuel system cleaning, especially if you’re due for one. This includes cleaning the fuel injectors and testing the fuel pump to make sure it’s okay. We’ll also check your fuel filter and replace it if necessary, as all gasoline is dirty despite fuel company advertisements. A clean fuel filter prevents the natural sediment found in gasoline from making its way to your engine.
Your Vehicle’s Oil
Help your engine feel good after a long winter with an oil change. Replacing old and dirty motor oil will boost your engine’s efficiency and protect working parts. Despite the latest hype in automotive news, an oil change every 3,000 miles is still a good idea, especially since your automobile’s engine works harder in the summer to keep you and it cool. Fresh oil helps prevent overheating and wear and tear.
Your Automobile’s Wheels and Tires
Spring is also the perfect time for a tire inspection and rotation and a wheel alignment and balance. Summer ushers in rainstorms that soak the road. Make sure you aren’t driving on bald tires or tires that have worn down unevenly, as they’ll lose their grip on the wet roads. Let us inspect your tires to make sure you’ll be safe on the road throughout the rainy season.
