Let’s be blunt: manufacturer service schedules are designed to make owning a car look low-maintenance during the warranty window. The real goal isn’t longevity, it’s marketing. The fewer services they list, the cheaper the car looks to own.

We get asked all the time:  “Why do you recommend fluid services at 30K miles when the book says 100K?”

Fluids don’t “expire” at 100K, they lose their protective additives way earlier. Those additives are what keep your transmission, differential, power steering, and cooling systems running smooth.

When they break down, metal grinds, heat builds, and the repairs costs are not pretty.

So, yes, we recommend shorter intervals. We aren't just trying to inflate the price, but protect the items that cost you the most. It’s the difference between maintenance and what we call preventative maintenance.

We’re not here to fight the manufacturer. When they call for something earlier than we do—like a brake fluid exchange at 9K miles due to modern braking and safety systems—we’re 100% on board.
